BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard Set to Shine Again in March

Prime Time Saturday Slot Returns After Record Viewership in 2023

The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard is set to make a triumphant return on Saturday, March 2, following the resounding success of last year’s event.

This prestigious music ceremony will once again grace The O2 arena in London and will enjoy a prime-time weekend slot on ITV1 and ITVX. In 2023, the awards show garnered just shy of four million viewers, cementing its popularity.

Damian Christian, Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2024, expressed his excitement, saying, “The decision to move the event to a Saturday night for the first time was an enormous success. So, I’m thrilled that we will be back in a prime-time slot again in March. The Saturday night scheduling helped us attract our most engaged audience ever, and in 2024, we aim to build on that foundation as we connect with even more fans. Next year’s BRITs promise to be our most ambitious show yet, featuring captivating performances by exceptional artists, as we celebrate the music that defined our 2023.”

It’s worth noting that the ceremony had traditionally taken place on a weekday.

Last year’s show was skillfully hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan.

Harry Styles dominated The BRIT Awards 2023 by clinching all four awards he was nominated for, including the highly coveted Artist of the Year accolade for ‘Harry’s House’.

Beyoncé and Wet Leg followed closely behind as the next biggest winners, each taking home two awards.

Harry’s remarkable achievement came after he kicked off the event with a spectacular rendition of ‘As It Was’, dressed in a sparkling red matador-style jacket.

In 2021, the decision was made to eliminate separate Best Male and Best Female awards in an effort to be more inclusive of non-binary artists. However, this led to a male-dominated winners’ list this year, with only six out of the 15 awards going to female artists.

The BRIT Awards 2024 with Mastercard will be exclusively broadcast on ITV and ITVX.
